About the event
Technique of fast turns and the difference between slow and fast turns
Turns are an essential part of dance, especially in salsa and bachata. The correct execution of a turn, whether fast or slow, depends on technique, balance, and contact with the floor.
Fast turns require a stable posture, core engagement, efficient spotting (fixing the gaze on a point), and good weight shifting to maintain speed without losing stability. They are characteristic of dynamic and advanced combinations.
Slow turns, on the other hand, emphasize control, fluidity, and aesthetics. The transitions are smoother and allow for more body expression. Although they appear simpler, they require precise technique to maintain balance.
This intensive workshop will take you to the next level! The course will take place on
Friday, March 28th, from 7:30 pm to 9:00 pm and will be intensive and extremely educational for all participants.
