If you are unable to attend a salsa or bachata lesson, you must inform us at least 5 hours before the lesson begins via email ( info@palbailador.ch ) or in the WhatsApp survey. This is necessary so that we can inform the dance partners in time and, if possible, arrange a substitute. It also helps us see if there are enough participants to hold a lesson. Unfortunately, we have to cancel courses with only one participant .We recommend that you attend your dance lessons regularly. If you are unable to attend a lesson, unfortunately, individual missed lessons due to personal reasons cannot be made up or credited. If a lesson falls on a public holiday in the Canton of Zurich, it will be credited to your subscription period. If you are going to be absent for two weeks or longer , we recommend pausing your subscription so that you don't miss any lessons.
The trial lesson is free .After the trial lesson, you are free to decide whether you would like to take out a regular 3-month dance membership. A membership only becomes effective upon your payment of the membership fee and submission of the registration form (available at the dance studio). The trial lesson is binding. If you are unable to attend, you must cancel at least 5 hours in advance.
Dance partner:If you register for a course alone, we will gladly arrange a dance partner for you. However, since we don't know in advance who will register, we unfortunately cannot guarantee that a suitable dance partner can be found for everyone.Dance partner changeIn our beginner courses , you'll dance – especially at the beginning – with a consistent partner. This allows you to focus entirely on technique, rhythm, and dancing together, gradually building confidence. Once everyone knows each other better and a comfortable atmosphere has developed, we'll gradually integrate partner changes into the lessons. From the intermediate level courses onwards, changing dance partners is part of the lesson. This helps you learn to adapt to different dance partners and further develop your leading and following skills.Important: Changing dance partners is entirely voluntary . If the majority of the group decides against changing partners – for example, because many couples are already participating – we will refrain from doing so. It is important to us that everyone feels comfortable in the class.
Our dance school will be closed on the public holidays of the Canton of Zurich. If your lesson falls on one of these holidays , it won't be lost . The lesson will be credited to your subscription and added to the end of your subscription period. This way, no one misses out on a lesson and everyone can enjoy the holiday without worry. The following public holidays apply:Good FridayEaster MondaySechseläutenLabor DaydrivewayWhit MondayNational HolidayBoys' ShootingCompany holidaysThe dance school has the following two operating holidays per year:Summer break: last week of July and first week of AugustWinter break: during the Christmas and New Year periodThese will be announced well in advance in your invoice or via WhatsApp. These company holidays will not affect the 12-week term of your subscription.
